  1. Yesterday in arts and ed we learned the didfference between modern and balae positions. Modern positions are just a little differentb than balle positions. Yesterday we also learned about a little more of how mdern dance would look if it were on the stage. We also learned that dancers are just like athletes and they need to do th positions the right way or they could hurt them selves. Yesterday we got in groups to make a motion that describes tense and scared. My group went the easy way and just made a scared face and put our hands up to make us llok like we were scared.

    1. I arts and ed we learned the DIFFERENCES between modern dance positions and balle positions.Modern positions are more COMFORTABLE than balle posisitions. We also learned how modern dance would look on stage compared to balle. We also learned how dancers are just like athlets and they could get just as hurt as a soccer player if they dont do their positons right. Then we all got into our groups again and acted out or tense/scared motion again. My group just put our hands up by our face and made a scared face.

  3. Yesterday in arts and ed we had to make a move that shows tense or scary movement in it. At first i was a little confused because i forgot what to do. After Meg LIED and told us we should do it in groups then i felt a little better about doing it. When Ie started to come with a move we thought it was a great move so we kept it. We volenteered first to go and show the class the move we made up. After we showed our move I thought I did HORRIBLE then after the class claped.

  6. Yesterday in art and ed we did a compleatly NONSUFISTICATED thing but it was fun. First we did a lot of talking about what to do but i had no say. We did something I thought would be totaly lame but after about three times duing it, it got realy fun. The most INCREADABLE part was the look on some of the peoples faces when almost fell on my face.

  7. The first day in arts and ed it looked a little weird cause all of our desks where moved so it got me WONDERING. So i asked Miss. O'Brien and she said today was Arts And Ed, So i said oh cool. Then we got started, so she (Meg) asked us to get in groups. Once we got into groups she asked us to make a shape Out of our groups. The challenging thing off that is at least one part of our bodies had to be touching each other.

  8. So yesterday in art's and education we did some dance. I didn't like it. I only liked it because we didn't do paper work. The first day was ok because we did some dance thing with a partner. I would of liked the dancing better if it wasn't ballet. I liked how we created a dance routine with our partner.I also enjoyed the activity where we acted out each other's mood. We did it in slow motion because we wanted to see how they felt. If people were paying more attention the activity would of been more fun.

  12. Prevosly we had ats in ed ,and AFTER we learned some ballet moves like FIRST and SECOND positions we splited up into groups of four. Once when we got into the groups of four we started to think of moves that goes with both tense and scary. THEN my group came up with a good move with props(pencils). AS SOON AS we were done Meg came over and watch our move. Once finished Meg said we couldn't use proops. AFTERWARD my group volenteered to go FIRST I thought i did horrible. OCNCE THAT WAS DONE everbody clapped and THEN the NEXT group went on.

  14. The Ellen sinopoly dance company performance was very good. They performed multiple dances. I found rising low the most exaggerated. Four women sitting in four chairs wore plain dresses barely moving. A woman also in a plain dress dancing on the opposite side of the stage dancing slowly. As the dance progressed, the other woman joined her. They danced with exaggerated movements and flowed together perfectly. It was vary good.

  16. The E.S.D.C. did an EXCELLENT job. They had OBVIOUSLY practiced. Rising Low had 4 dancers sitting in chairs, looking DEPRESSED, and 1 dancer trying to cheer them up, but getting DOWNHEARTED herself. Then when she gave up, the others all came and danced almost VIOLENTLY and ANGRILY. They mostly danced in UNISON.

  17. yesterday in Arts in Ed we learned some dance steps. I guess it was okay .There was only one up side witch was that we didn't have to do any paper work. We had to get into groups and make up a dance move. One group got up and did there move, and the rest of us had to copy it. The class ended early so no one else did their dance. I am kind of glad that class ended early.

  18. I wish I could have been there to learn about BALLET, which is what my class did in Arts in Ed. It sounded interesting, even though I'm not that into it. I know that lots of people were talking about it afterwards and it sounded like a fun EXPERIENCE.

  20. This day ins Arts in Education we learned about the differences in modern dance and ballet. I like modern dance better because it seems more natural and more like what we do in our everyday movements. Meg is a great teacher for both of these types and we are lucky to have her in our class. Either way we learn better this way about the dance moves than just sitting at our desks using paper and pencils. We learn and don't really know we are learning. Meg makes it a better way to learn.

  21. I remember that she had us stand up and get in groups of 4 or 5. After we got in groups of 4 or 5 then we had to make some kind of weird shape with a bodyies. We had a good shape going until she said that we could not use proops so it kinda mad it a little stressful on the group but we got through it.

  24. My first day at arts and ed was actuly suprisingly fun. We did lots and lots of fun games. We walked around in different "pathways" and I was always volenteering to do things first. We had to move our bodies in different ways to make sculptures. I thought Arts and Ed impressed most people for the first day. I had lots of fun, looking foward for the next time!

  25. In arts and Ed we learned the pros and the cons Of ballet and Modern Dance. The QUALITY of each dance is amazing, especially In the way she explained both kinds of dances. We first, practiced the difference in Modern and ballet and then we made different shapes with our bodies. Finally we made some routines with UNIQUE CALIFICATIONS of each dance. I had lots of fun again.
